This page contains technical details for the MouseTrap Hackfest @ CCSCNE 2014.

Overview

We'll be booting off a USB drive into Fedora 20; downloading and installing MouseTrap and other tools; and learning to use these tools and how to work within the community to get things done.

We'll be working in a computer lab, but we won't be using the computers in the lab. Participants need to bring a laptop. Wireless will not be available, but a wired connection will be provided. Also, we'll be working with MouseTrap which requires a webcam. So, participants need to bring a laptop with the following:

  • Ethernet port (wireless will not be available)
  • USB port (Red Hat is providing USB drives with a live image of Fedora 20)
  • Webcam (MouseTrap allows you to control your mouse via a webcam)
