Gregory Hislop

Gregory W. Hislop is a Professor and Senior Associate Dean in the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI) at Drexel University. CCI is the hub for computing and information activities at Drexel. The College has over 75 full-time faculty members, about 2,200 students, and offers 13 degree programs, undergraduate through Ph.D.

Dr. Hislop’s primary association in CCI is with the Systems and Software Engineering disciplinary group. As Senior Associate Dean, Dr. Hislop shares responsibility for college-wide academic affairs with particular focus on quality and strategy for the educational programs.

Dr. Hislop’s scholarly interests span computing education, applications of information technology in education, and software engineering.

Prior to coming to Drexel, Dr. Hislop spent eighteen years working in government and industry. His efforts encompassed technology planning and evaluation, software development and support, and development and delivery of technical education.

In his spare time, which is mostly non-existent, Dr. Hislop likes outdoor activities including camping, hiking, and cycling. He also sails and races in J-27 keel boats on the Delaware River.
