She is interested in creating clinical decision support systems that aid medical providers to efficiently diagnose and treat patients and that personalize medicine by applying data mining, machine learning, and visualization techniques to data warehouses of electronic medical data. She is also interested in developing technologies and universal interfaces to help anyone with an interest in developing software to learn to program. She is interested on working on Humanitarian Free and Open Source Software (HFOSS) projects that she can have her student contribute to and are close to her research interests.
