  5. Locating Projects – 40 minutes
    • How to get started looking for projects
    • Identification of information sources, Ohloh, SourceForge, GitHub?, etc.
    • Identification of potential projects
    • Foss2serve.org list of HFOSS projects
  6. Model for evaluating FOSS projects – 20 minutes
    • Key evaluation aspects for humanitarian FOSS projects
    • Definition of evaluation criteria
    • Measures of the criteria and their application

  1. Examples of model application – 20 minutes
    • Application of model applied to two sample project
    • The MouseTrap project
  2. Application of Model – 50 minutes
    • Apply the model to the potential projects from the HFOSS list
  3. Wrap-up – 15 minutes

    • Discussion about collaborating on projects.
