To keep the response here brief:
- People interact in a very informal way, it's very much just like a normal flow of conversation between people
- I didn't see anything that really struck me as special in terms of terminology, other that technical terms, like commands, embedded into the conversation.
- I think the advantage is that the conversation flows quite naturally and is really open to anyone participating (some other chat tools allow this too).
- One disadvantage, when lots of people jump in, is that the conversation can get quite chaotic, it's hard sometimes to know which message is being responded to.
