I did a postdoc at NIST, and was "the computer jack of all trades" in the Materials Science and Engineering Laboratory there. I've been at Delaware for 12 years, as an assistant professor for the last year. Before that, I managed the research computer systems for the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Departments. Bio: I call myself a "lapsed mathematician", since my Ph.D. is in Applied Mathematics. I did a postdoc at NIST, and was "the computer jack of all trades" in the Materials Science and Engineering Laboratory there. I've been at Delaware for 12 years, as an assistant professor for the last year. Before that, I managed the research computer systems for the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Departments.
